 Ballona Beach Summer Day Camp

  Where The Fun Never Ends!!!  

The sandy shores of Ballona Beach Summer Day Camp LLC (BBSDC) are now officially open for fun! Meeting on the sand of Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey and hanging out near Tower 42 (on the beach at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Convoy Street) is Southern California's premiere camp. BBSDC is a place where young people (ages 5 to 14) can try new things, develop positive relationships, and learn more about themselves, all while having a great time. It is the perfect blend of fun and education that can help to build childrens' characters and futures.

                                                                        SAFETY IS THE KEY!!!

At Ballona Beach we know that your child's safety is the key to our success. With this in mind we have built our camp around our safety program to ensure your child's best well being is considered in every activity.

An important part of the Ballona Beach experience is the relationship that the campers form with their counselor. Within our camp’s structured environment campers are able to create bonds with their counselor, and through those bonds the counselor is able to meet our campers’ individual needs. We group our campers with their peers which enables them to showcase their skills in a leveled environment where they will feel most comfortable (Grouping works especially well for 5 and 6 – 13 and 14 year olds who are physically and developmentally at different stages, and therefore benefit most from participation in activities with their peers). The presence of a counselor also improves our goal of maintaining the safety of each child.

Each member of our Ballona Beach staff is First Aid and Child/Adult CPR certified by the American Red Cross, and trained to maintain the proper hydration and sunscreen protection of each camper. We have our own Ballona Beach lifeguards, as well as County of Los Angeles Lifeguards for added safety.

BUILDING CHARACTER. . .

Our program at BBSDC encourages physical and mental growth, the development of moral values, and a positive self image. Throughout the summer our campers will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of memorable, fun-filled experiences in a safe environment where the emphasis will be placed on participation to improve oneself. We teach that participation is itself a great reward, and recognition of that success an even greater reward. Our staff and counselors know that every camper can be successful at something; and that something can be put within reach of each camper.
