"But It's Too Cold!"
During winter, it may be raining, it may even be pouring, but it doesn't have to be boring. Ballona Beach Summer Day Camp LLC (BBSDC) is once again opening the gates of St. Bernard High School in Playa Del Rey for fun. We are bringing some of the greatest activities of the summer, and a some new ones just for this winter. It probably is too cold for some of our summer activities like swimming, boogie boarding, kayaking and sailing, but there are a lot of other things we can do. We will set up everyday inside the Fine Arts Building where we will get the day started with our morning rally. We also have access to a gym for indoor sports and rainy day activities. But wait, this is Southern California, it could very well be 80 degrees in December!... So we have two huge fields and a track for games like capture the frisbee, in & out, soccer, and baseball. At BBSDC we are sure to keep our calender filled with activities to keep minds challenged and bodies fit. We'll have scavenger hunts, Pink Panther, Laser Bounce Challenges, and our very own Galactic Battleball. We have a wide range of arts and crafts projects to keep our campers' creative juices flowing, not to mention the introduction of Ballona TV (description below). Winter Session is also the time for off-site trips for everyone, so get ready to have even more fun!

On Site Schedule $49.00/day
December 22, 23, 26-30 - St. Bernard High School (9100 Falmouth Avenue, Playa Rey)
Off Site Schedule $59.00/day, and money for snacks
A.M. Extended Camp (8 a.m. - 9 a.m.) will not be available on off site days.
Monday, December 19 - Howard Hughes Parkway (6081 Center Drive. Drop off and pick up in front of Starbuck's)
Tuesday, December 20 - AMF El Dorado Lanes, Westchester (8731 Lincoln Blvd., south of Manchester Avenue)
Wednesday, December 21 - Howard Hughes Parkway (6081 Center Drive. Drop off and pick up in front of Starbuck's)
Spaces are limited and early enrollment is highly recommended. Unlike our summer session there is no minimum attendance requirements (However, in order to guarantee your camper's participation in the creation of the Ballona TV dvd they will need to be present everyday. Ballona TV
This year we are bringing back "Ballona TV." During Winter Session campers will have the oppurtunity to write and star in their own skits, game shows, and news programs. The recorded footage will be edited and compiled into Ballona TV, a camper produced series of shows (the Ballona TV dvds will be released by March 1, of next year).
WINTER FESTIVAL 
Our Arts and Summer Festivals were such a big hit over the summer that we had to add one to winter. So, if you like games, food, and fun then sign up for January 2, 2009 (depending on attendance) and take part in our Winter Festival! There will be lots of prizes as we celebrate another birthday for winter. You won't want to miss it!
